Sometimes we seek out our passions and other times our passions find us...Art Awakened was born out of spontaneous creations when Suzi, owner and artist of the studio/storefront, felt inspired to create something simply for the love of it. She creates truly unique paintings and home décor that inspires you to slow down and take in the finest details. What started as a simple hobby turned into a passion for all things creativity and nurturing the artist within. Suzi embraces what is normally looked past or considered junk and transforms it into reimagined works of art. 

After year of creating her own pieces, she decided to open the storefront/studio under the same name of Art Awakened, to share handcrafted items made by local creators and inspire the community to nurture their creativity, too.

Every item has a different process, but all of them start with something thought of as uninspiring or junk - Suzi sees beyond what meets the eye and looks at everything as what it could be. Whether it's bottle caps or buttons, rusty trays or random pieces of fabric...she starts with a vision and sticks with the project until it's a completely transformed piece of art that will speak to that one special customer it's meant for.
