Lori lovingly crafts everything from mixed media wall art to tiered tray and shelf sitter pieces, night lights, ornaments, magnets, and more. She says, " I have been experimenting with and creating shattered glass and resin art for about 18 months. I was looking for an outlet to express myself creatively and learn more about creating various forms of art. I enjoyed creating various types of art, but it all literally fell together when I stumbled across this mixed media art form in a social media challenge. I was hooked and it’s become my passion."
Everything is made by using acrylic paints and modeling paste or other art mediums to create textured pieces. The art is then embellished with shattered and/or cut glass or bottles/vases/jars, seed beads, jewelry, wood, shells, or just about anything that looks interesting and creates texture within the piece. It’s all held together with resin.
Wall art is generally larger pieces (8x10 and larger) and currently ranges between $75 and $250. Tiered tray and shelf sitters, magnets and nightlights range from $10 to $65 in general dependent on the amount of glass and resin used.
