Ceramic Studio & Store Policies

Please read our terms and policies before painting with us or reserving our studio/tables for parties. By painting in our ceramic studio or reserving us for your events, you are agreeing to these terms and policies. Art Awakened by Suzi Q reserves the right to uphold or change these terms at any time. These policies extend to both the ceramic studio and storefront. 

We glaze and fire all finished pieces within X business days of the item being completed. Please make sure you are happy with your ceramics before leaving the studio or call us to set it aside for you to come back to! You can return at a later date to finish it (see details below) but we kindly ask that you let us know asap!

We are happy to hold your piece for your to return and finish up to X days from the date you paid. 

*Anything left in our studio after X days of date of purchase will be considered abandoned and property of Art Awakened by Suzi Q - said items will be donated, sold in our storefront, used as displays, or discarded.

Please note that our studio is quite small and we run out of room fast! We appreciate your understanding and attention to finish your project in a timely manner. 

Customers have up to X days from initial notice to pickup their finished ceramics. We will attempt to reach out via phone call, text, and email for individual tickets, but it is ultimately the customer's responsibility to check in on their pieces or stop in to pick up. 

For large events/parties, we will only contact the host of the party, not the individual guests - they are free to pickup or call us for pickup details but we will not reach out to them personally.

CERAMICS: 

• Due to the nature of paint-your-own ceramics, we do not offer returns or refunds on finished pieces unless the defect is our fault (see below)

STOREFRONT ITEMS:  

• All sales are final.
• Damaged items: Contact us within 5 business with proof of purchase for an exchange or store credit.

 If your piece is damaged during the glazing/firing process, we will reach out to you to make it right. 

STOREFRONT PURCHASES:

• All products are handmade by local artists.

CERAMICS & STOREFRONT ITEMS:

• Prices are firm.
• Accepted payments: Cash, Card (3% added fee), Venmo

HOLDS:

We can hold items for you up to 5 business days with a half down deposit (non-refundable if not purchased by deadline.) 

• Available upon request depending on the vendor.
• A deposit may be required.
• No refunds on custom orders.

Children are welcome in our studio under the supervision of an adult, but please be mindful of the environment, our customers, and fragile items. We want to provide a positive and calming painting and shopping experience for everyone - we kindly ask that any roughhousing and running are taken outside. 

You are welcome to bring light, non-greasy food and non-alcoholic drinks while you paint, but they should be kept away from all other ceramics and store items.

Smoking, vaping, and alcohol are not permitted in the studio/store or within 20 feet of the entrance.

Art Awakened is meant to be a place where everyone is welcome. We expect common respect and kindness from our guests, customers, and vendors...We do not tolerate hate speech/slander/gossip of any kind - including but not limited to sex, race, religion, politics, etc. - nor any arguing or disrespect to other customers or staff. This applies to artwork design, as well.
