Moonshine Mosaics by Lori Gutelius Gallery

Lori's craft started in her childhood, but truly bloomed a couple of years ago. In her own beautiful words,

"I have always been a creative by nature. It started in my grade school years and continued in various aspects of my life including a hand painted piggy bank business 20 plus years ago.

I gave that up to raise my two children and focus on my family.

A couple years ago I lost my brother. A great man who was very close to me and my kids. The grief buried me. I felt lost. I channeled my energy into making a hummingbird mosaic to represent my brother and that is how my mosaic journey began. I found with each piece I created I hurt a little bit less and was able to channel all that grief into each broken piece. As I created something from the broken pieces I found myself coming back with each beautiful thing I created. When I say each piece is created with love it is a true testament of my passion. Having all the love and support of those wanting my pieces inspired me to turn my grief journey into a business."

Lori creates each piece with care and attention to detail, using techniques that she has learned throughout the years and feeling out what pieces belong where. While she creates many of the same items, like her best-selling turtles, every single piece is truly unique. If it can be repurposed, Lori will find a way to turn it into a new work of art!
